DataSeer Integrates with Autodesk Construction Cloud for Enhanced Data Efficiency

DataSeer is pleased to announce that it has integrated its leading SaaS application for construction with Autodesk Construction Cloud, a portfolio of software and services that combines advanced technology, a builders network and predictive insights for construction teams.

DataSeer’s integration enables construction professionals to identify, extract, and convert unstructured drawings and documents, such as PDF files or scanned images, into standardized output formats, including CSV and CAD files automatically. Customers using this integration can save  valuable time and resources on construction projects of all scales by streamlining these data processes.

Now, project stakeholders can visualize insights from DataSeer directly within Autodesk® Build Insight or BIM 360® Project Home dashboards.

DataSeer enables project teams to:

  • Standardize formats: Identify, extract, and convert unstructured drawings and documents such as PDF files and scanned images and transform them to standard output formats.
  • Convert legacy drawings to CAD: Upload P&IDs, mechanical equipment schematics, and electrical single-line diagrams and convert them into formats that support the creation of digital twins. AutoCAD and Hexagon SmartPlant P&ID formats are supported.
  • Manage data: Use the Auto-Grouping Module to define subsystems/asset hierarchies and the Table Extraction tool to maintain table integrity in data digitization.

Dr. Jo-Anne Ting, CEO of DataSeer, expressed her enthusiasm about the integration, stating, “DataSeer is excited about our integration with Autodesk Construction Cloud, and we are confident our AI-based engineering and construction product is a perfect fit for industrial process customers. Our solutions provide valuable productivity tools for a wide variety of applications such as material take-offs, estimation, retrofits, commissioning/decommissioning, asset performance management, simulations, digital twins, and OT/ICS cybersecurity.”

“Without structured databases, firms often have trouble minimizing project risks or improving quality control processes,” said James Cook, Director – Industry & Technology Partnerships at Autodesk Construction Solutions. “By embedding DataSeer directly within Autodesk Construction Cloud, teams can bolster informed decision-making by aligning database insights with other critical project data.”
